Application scope

GL Series Silk Printing Ink Series is very suitable for glass products, ceramics, metals, aluminium products.

Chromium plated parts, coated prints, heat treated plastic products. It is also suitable for printing ceramics, metals, aluminium products, chrome-plated greetings.

Coating prints, heat treatment plastics and other products.

Characteristic

1. dry and solid

The volatilization of the solvent used to make up the ink results in physical drying, and the drying of the ink layer is caused by the chemical crosslinking reaction of the ink and the slow drying agent.

The standard parameters for ink cross-linking reaction are as follows: the drying time of 20C is about 25 minutes when the drying temperature is touched.

Preparing 20C for overprinting and drying 20C for 4-6 days, 140 C for 30 days and 20C for 8-10 hours can accelerate the chemical crosslinking reaction.

To achieve higher waterproofing requirements, it takes 30 minutes to bake at 140 C.

Viscosity and scratch resistance of ink should be tested 24 hours later. In multicolor overprinting, the previous color does not need to be completely dry before successive overprinting of another color.

When the overprint is finished, it must be baked at last. Processing and dry setting temperatures should be no less than 15 C. Otherwise, irreversible damage may occur.

Continuous high humidity after printing should also be avoided, as slow drying agents are sensitive to humidity.

2. Fading Resistance

GL series inks are developed using only ultra-high fade-resistant pigments.

Adding varnish or other pigments, especially white, will affect the fading resistance and wind erosion resistance according to their proportion.

If the thickness of the ink layer decreases, the weatherability of the ink layer decreases accordingly. Due to the chemical composition of the series of inks, their wind erosion resistance is limited.

When applied to outdoor decorations, the epoxy resin surface of the ink is invaded, which makes the ink layer appear white gradually, thus the pigments and fillers are released.

In view of this, GL series ink can not be applied to outdoor decoration, if direct humidity contact is feasible.

3. compression resistance

After a certain thorough drying, the ink layer shows excellent viscosity, and its friction resistance and scratch resistance are also consolidated. We recommend the use of protective coating 910 or MARAPOLY P 910 in order to obtain a higher degree of friction resistance.
